In the face of a growing textile waste crisis, the younger generation emerges as key contributors to environmental preservation. Notably, a significant share of global textile production is discarded, presenting substantial environmental issues. With this awareness, the youth can take the lead in advocating for sustainable practices, redirecting resources away from the considerable annual textile waste, and fostering positive change in the industry.

Upcyclie
Upcyclie is driven by a singular purpose: to eliminate fabric waste and establish a circular economy. In Chennai alone, a staggering 251 tonnes of textile waste are dumped into landfills daily, with an annual increase of 8% since 2016. Our goal is to produce top-quality products using fabric waste, achieved through the engagement of women at every stage of the process.

Material library of India
At Material Library of India, we revamp the utilization of industrial and agricultural waste by blending traditional crafts with modern materials. Leveraging traditional craftsmanship, we transform even the toughest materials into fluid surfaces through intricate weaves. These creative processes facilitate the organic conversion of industrial waste into usable products, allowing us to extract latent value from these materials.
