Indian Youth Circular Economy Forum (IYCEF)
IYCEF is a platform launched by the Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) as one of the key outcome of the 2023 Agents of Change program - implemented with support from the European Union Resource Efficiency Initiative in India (EU-REI). EU-REI is an initiative led by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) India with Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) as key nodal ministry for implementation.
While the Agents of Change 2023 program was centered on circular economy training and awareness workshops for youth, IYCEF aims to take this initiative to the next level. IYCEF is positioned as a specialized platform, which focuses on promoting the Circular Economy (CE), youth CE innovations, facilitating capacity building, and advocating for CE policies. This includes the Circular Campus Initiative, an integral part of IYCEF's efforts, which further extends its reach and impact. By leveraging our extensive network of young individuals and the expertise of IYCN, IYCEF ensures a synergistic approach to tackle the interconnected challenges of climate change and environmental issues.
